How it works

- Hermes Agent is preselected — choose a hostname and create the VPS.
- SSH in, run source ~/.bashrc and hermes setup, then hermes gateway setup to connect your chat apps.
Hermes Agent is installed with the official installer; you run the setup wizard yourself so your API keys stay on your server.

What are the requirements for Hermes Agent?
2 GB RAM and 10 GB disk are the minimum for cloud models. Choose 4 GB if you enable browser tools.
Is the model included in the price?
No. Hermes uses the model provider you configure (OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Nous Portal, …) with your own API key.
How do I connect Telegram or WhatsApp?
Run hermes gateway setup, follow the prompts for your platform, then hermes gateway start. The gateway runs as a background service.
Can I switch to a bigger server later?
Yes. Resize the VPS to more CPU and RAM from the panel without reinstalling.
Hermes Agent or OpenClaw?
Both are personal AI agents. Hermes is lighter and focuses on self-improving skills; OpenClaw has a large ecosystem of skills and integrations. Each has its own preinstalled VPS.
